I'm probably not showing you anything you already don't know. The only realistic match at 67 that I can find who has done additional SNP testing is the below yours.

    f130937 Brandstrom(Teuva) DF13+ 3c1g z1528 Finland, Southern Ostrobothnia, Suupohja, Teuva
    f153101 Mattsson(Koskinen) DF13+ DF41- L96- L144- z1528 Finland, Southern Ostrobothnia, Seinšjoki, Lapua

I'm not sure why he picked DF41 but other than doing some broad discovery test, like full Y sequencing, you really have to look at the Big 9 below DF13. The one mostly likely found in NE Europe is Z251.

Thank you. So if I understand you, Z251 should be the next choice to order then?

Mike will have to answer for himself, but I think it's been suggested in various places that if you don't really match closely with someone who has tested positive for an SNP under DF13, then Z251 might be a good choice because almost any haplotype might end up testing positive for it. The GDs for people who have shown up as Z251+ are quite large and the geographic range is also pretty broad.

That's my recommendation if you are testing one SNP at a time. I recommend going to 111 Y STRs too, and that is a no lose situation.

If you are interested in more expensive options there are the low-moderate packages like Geno 2 / Chromo 2 and I would think Geno 2 will have to be updated soon. More expensively and comprehensively you have Full Genomes Corp but I think there will be more competition at that level too.

One at a time, I'd vote for Z251 next.

So the 2 SNPs ordered on my brother, kit N8024, came back DF21+ and DF41-. We have ordered a Geno2 kit; should I just wait for that?

    Does DF21 tell me anything?

David Raynolds is the man for this one.

However there are quite a few SNPs under DF21 that are included on Geno2

There are also a bunch of S SNPs on Chromo2 related to DF21 but it'd be best to wait on the Geno2 results before going down that road.

I did sign up for the DF21 project.
