Point here was on the samples's present community.
"Brahmins" or the other varnas, as I understand it, are a post or late Rigvedic concept. And I've seen references to rathakaras (chariot-makers, carpenters) being highly esteemed in the earlier recensions of the Rigvedic texts (the likes of Tvastar) and so it is plausible that present-day carpenter groups were from the same IA source that would later give rise to Brahmins, however were excluded due to societal changes. Therefore, they may have never been "Brahmins", however were from the same population group and have retained that profile due to endogamy despite their social standing. This would be a similar case to other biraderi groups as well.

Hi. Is central asian as a trace result a possible result showing potential Roma genetics? It's from my mom's side and has stayed consistently at .2. My sister and aunt both get it, more specifically the central asian and north Indian one. I was wondering this because another Iberian (andalucian) gets similar to me.

Thank you if you can help!

Brahmins as we know them today formed by mixing with local populations, but the priests themselves are very much present long before that. They identified themselves as Hotrs specializing in the whole Yagna ritual.

I have seen some kits which probably after diluted Roma part in few generations start showing as Central Asian especially if mixed with Iranian or Andronovo like Scythian groups

"The second Mandala of the Rigveda has 43 hymns, mainly to Agni and Indra chiefly attributed to the Rishi gṛtsamada śaunohotra. It is one of the "family books" (mandalas 2-7), the oldest core of the Rigveda, which were composed in early vedic period(1500-1000 BCE).[1]
Witzel (1995) on the basis of internal evidence suggested that the second Mandala contains the oldest hymns of the Rigveda.[2]"[likely not correct, but definitely one of the older]

    1. THOU, Agni, shining in thy glory through the days, art brought to life from out the waters, from the stone:
From out the forest trees and herbs that grow on ground, thou, Sovran Lord of men art generated pure.
2 Thine is the Herald's task and Cleanser's duly timed; Leader art thou, and Kindler for the pious man.
Thou art Director, thou the ministering Priest: thou art the Brahman, Lord and Master in our home.
3 Hero of Heroes, Agni! Thou art Indra, thou art Viṣṇu of the Mighty Stride, adorable:
Thou, Brahmaṇaspati, the Brahman finding wealth: thou, O Sustainer, with thy wisdom tendest us.
4 Agni, thou art King Varuṇa whose laws stand fast; as Mitra, Wonder-Worker, thou must be implored.
Aryaman, heroes' Lord, art thou, enriching all, and liberal Aṁśa in the synod, O thou God.

Plus Mandal 2 has four chapters dedicated to Brihaspati [Brahmanaspati]
    HYMN XXIII. Brahmaṇaspati.
    HYMN XXIV. Brahmaṇaspati.
    HYMN XXV. Brahmaṇaspati.
    HYMN XXVI. Brahmaṇaspati.

Therefore, they may have never been "Brahmins", however were from the same population group and have retained that profile due to endogamy despite their social standing. This would be a similar case to other biraderi groups as well.
That is also one possibility, very nicely summarised. Alternative scenario can also be that due to poverty some brahmins ( Saraswat especially as they seem to be little more flexible) took to different jobs in north west at some point of time. I would say it would need deeper study to come to the root of it.

Sorry, didn't see that second one is of daughter. Some Ramgarihas also score like this. A panesar sample was there.

Difficult to say anything about NRIs unless you have contacted them, could be with multiple different ancestry. The problem is on Gedmatch most samples are of NRIs living outside India.
