    Ancient DF27, ZZ12 DNA sample

I notice on Alex Williamsons bigtree that he has added a sample under DF27>ZZ12>BY15964 called

Cueva de los Lagos aDNA: esp005

Paper: "Four millennia of Iberian biomolecular prehistory illustrate the impact of prehistoric migrations at the far end of Eurasia", http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2018/03/06/1717762115
    Data: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/data/view/ERS2059523

I think this is the first time I have heard of an ancient DNA sample from the ZZ12 side of DF27.

    Earl.

Earl, this was identified back in March. See here https://anthrogenica.com/showthread....l=1#post364706

That I know of, it is still the only ancient DNA sample that has a subclade of of DF27 classified.

And I had my usual grumpy comment, elsewhere on the thread R.Rocca just cited: https://anthrogenica.com/showthread....l=1#post364812

Just trying to distinguish between "the oldest we've seen so far" and "the birthplace of ZZ12" or whatever. It isn't carbon dated, but the context is circa 1700 BC -- not old enough, by a long chalk, to be an argument against the much more visible east to west progression of P312 and its branches, including DF27 branches. From someplace closer to Pinsk than Barcelona. But how much closer, I'm unable to speculate. We have very little convincing evidence from either extreme, but we have bits dropped along a trail, of sorts.
