    If I understood the SNP definitions correctly, C1 is 47k ybp old and is found almost everywhere, including Australia/PNG, India, China and Europe.
    C1a has TMRCA 45k ybp and is found in China/Japan, ME and Europe.
    So, I guess during this time the fact that several populations both had C1 Y-chromosome tells us almost nothing, as we know that C1 is found almost anywhere.

    I guess that Goyet and Gravettians are not completely different populations, probably just one of them has some admixture the other one lacks.
    Only Vestonice 16 is IJK, the rest of Vestonice samples are all BT, CT, C1a2. That's what i meant that back in those days, HG's of y-dna C1 could virtually be everywhere in eurasia so low the density of population was.

    Well the BT and CT are probably quality issues, meaning they might be anything downstream, but there wasn't enough data to determine what.

    This also means that finding C1 in some hunter-gather population does not really give us any significant information about its origin.

    I myself downloaded and checked *.bam file of early mesolithic IJK from Britain and was almost sure it will turn out to be I2a, but it was some pre-I branch.
    So, we should not underestimate chance that those BT and CT was indeed some exotic dead-end line.

    Here's a quite preliminary qpgraph of Eurasia.
    Worked this from the ground up with the new Yana samples, using the assumption that Ust_Ishim is an early West Eurasian, and that all paleoeuropeans except Goyet have basal.
    - Definitely some untangling/cleanup to do
    - Once that's done a few minor additions may help reduce the outlying z-score, though given the complexity of the graph, it's really not that bad.

    I really don't like how dominant that West8 node is, ~72% into Bichon, ~49% into Barcin_N, 41% into CHG.
