Hunnic and Medieval Turkic samples: Y-DNA and Autosomal DNA

Source: 137 ancient human genomes from across the Eurasian steppes

The paper has many Xiongnu, Tian Shan Hun and Medieval Turkic samples as we know; I have compiled all of these samples.

1-) Distribution of Y-DNA haplogroups among the Hunnic and Medieval Turkic samples

    2-) Autosomal DNA

They seem to have emerged from an amalgam of West Eurasian and East Eurasian populations.

Two Xiongnu-period individuals (DA43 and DA45, both of whom are haplogroup O) are not included as they cluster with modern Chinese populations. The researchers concluded that these individuals were victims of a fierce battle and had been killed by swords or other weapons. It is highly likely that they were Chinese soldiers.

By the way, I mistyped the title. Is it possible to rename the title as: "Hunnic and Medieval Turkic samples: Y-DNA and Autosomal DNA"

I wish that there were better descriptions of the burial sites and skeletons of the Y-DNA haplogroup J2a Saka, Karluk and Karakhanid samples from this study. The only Y-DNA haplogroup J2a sample that had a good description of the burial site and skeleton was the Issyk Medieval nomad sample.
