    You are confusing R1a-M198 (a huge clade encompassing 99% of all R1a members) with its much younger and significantly smaller subclade R1a-L260 (showing highest frequency among modern Poles and relatively common in some other Slavic populations).
    So in other words, R1a-M198 is not specifically Polish, nor even Slavic, while R1a-L260 is commonly considered to be strongly associated with deep Slavic ancestry.
