    Free Whole Genome Sequence

'' To qualify for a free genome sequence, you’ll have to provide some information about your health, which is then shared with researchers, in addition to your DNA data. In exchange for this information — which is kept anonymous — they then cover the cost of the genome sequencing. The hope is to gather enough genetic data to develop new drugs and other treatments for solving a range of diseases. All data is stored on the blockchain, and users get to decide exactly what information is shared with companies or other research institutes. You can also pay $99 upfront without having to answer additional questions. ''

This isn't legal or personal advice (just common sense), but I recommend people read their Terms and Conditions fully before considering this.

If I was interested in participating, there's one element in their Terms which I find unsatisfactory.

    Only one?
One at least does not appear to me to comply with the GDPR provisions that were in recent discussion earlier this year.
The only language I have seen recently remotely like this (from another company) was massively re-written shortly after the initial release.

Based on a 1m skim, one stuck out like a sore thumb (14.1.). The legal verbosity WRT liability is too self-preserving for my liking.

I read it but do they actually sequence your entire genome or just a lot of it?

What is the difference between a whole genome sequence test and an ancestry only type of test? Does the full genome sequencing go deeper into your ancestry?
