I ordered an Ethnogene analysis around a month ago. I was told that it would take two weeks to process, but here I am, four weeks later, with no analysis.
Ethnogene (most accurate so far IMO): Frisian 2.8%, Scottish 19.2%, Welsh 2.4%, English 29.0%, Irish 31.7%, Cornish 1.9%, Irish Traveller 4.0%, French 2.6%, Dutch 1.0%, German 1.8%, Western Indian 1.1%, Central/Southern Ashkenazi 1.0%, Norwegian 1.5%

Finally got my Ethnogene results, and I am so happy with them!

    ethnogene.png

The only issue I see is I think my Irish ancestry is a bit understated (Irish and Irish Traveller combined comes to 35.7% when I get 57% Irish/Scottish on Ancestry and my mother is over 90% Irish). I'm led to believe some of it may have been misread as Scottish or Cornish (I have no known Cornish ancestry). And I also think they should perhaps offer a chromosome painting service- there's a couple of broadly segments on my 23andme which I could do with clarifying.

I strongly recommend it, especially for people of Romani or Irish Traveller ancestry, but the biggest disadvantage by far is the limited signup periods. In the meantime, although I'm yet to try them, I'd suggest LM Genetics or nMonte (I made the mistake of unlocking my FTDNA estimate during a signup lockout, and hoo boy).

Irish Travellers are an ethnically Irish nomadic/gypsy group, distinct from both the Romani and to a lesser extent the non-travelling Irish population.

You got quite a bit more Irish than me and I'm Irish. You're almost double my Irish in this when you include the Irish Traveller result.

The 1% Southern/Central Ashkenazi intrigues me. The given map highlights Hungary, but the description doesn't give anything more specific.

Is this actually Hungarian in origin or more general? In trace amounts I score 0.86% Spanish and 0.87% Portuguese. Adjusted for trace amounts, Spanish+Portuguese+Ashkenazi totals 2.65%, roughly corresponding to one Sephardic great-great-great grandparent (1/32). Without factoring in the trace amounts, the Ashkenazi alone corresponds to 1/64 to 1/128. I have a paternal match on 23andme who matches with my Broadly Southern Euro on chromosome 9, inherited from my father. His ethnicities where he matches me are Ashkenazi on one strand and British/Irish on the other. All the Jewish matches in my one-to-many on GEDmatch are Ashkenazi, but that could be something to do with the general overrepresentation of Ashkenazim on genetic services.

i think its safer to say your 1% ashkenazi is simply ashkenazi .....sephardic would have a bigger spanish compponet and east med to it they actually have Portuguese sephardic samples a but your results are really cool heres mine ethno.PNG
