It just seems obvious to me that a lot of the third party companies are using calculators and nMonte or something similar. They aren't using the same methods as 23andMe, Ancestry, FTDNA etc. They are after all only third-party and using your raw dna upload. The reason why I'm making this conclusion is that I've taken nearly every dna test there is and I've seen my results on Gedmatch and people like Garimund, stkibo, Trelvern and others have kindly done a lot of nMonte models for myself. Also David (Eurogenes) has done a lot of models so after a while you get a fairly good idea of your results and what happens with different methods. I'm not telling anyone not to try this test out as I think they are all interesting. My main point is that you can't take the breakdown you get and think it is actually real ancestry. You have to be logical and know how these tests work and also take into account your known ancestry.

Just wanted to add that even the larger companies give people various percentages of supposed ancestry that can disappear on updates and you can also get percentages of a different ancestry that you didn't have previously. Is it real? Some people take those trace regions very seriously.

Funny how the illyrian language on this site, sits exactly on top of the Dalmatian language on this site

Maybe the ancient Roman census of Illyricum states Dalmatians as 55% of the illyrian populace and Pannonians as second in %

as mentioned before of the granularity of these results (so many 1% of this and that), how do your totals reflect what you know about your family, or at least what you've been told?

I'm not surprised about the small percentages of ethnicities around Lebanon, especially when being so specific, but when you add up the Levantine that looks about correct. As for my Balkan scores I get everything except my actual Albanian, although I get Albanian and Kosovar in trace. But when adding up all the Southeast Euro that's the percent I excepted to have as Albanian. Baggara and Dom are the only surprises really.

I'd like to see other middle eastern scores if anyone has posted?

Your results looked good. I still wonder how they come up with the results.

Some homemade nMonte runner? Where do they get all samples from?

How long does this take to be received? I submitted my grandmother's sample and have not received anything back. This was 1 1/2 weeks ago.
