I always included Levant_BA when I did models for Sicily.

All Southern Italians have Levantine not just Sicilians that’s the point.

If by "Corsican" you mean Corsican-like (i.e. an ancient element shared by Corsicans and Tuscans) I must agree with you.

I am also curious about the meaning of these 2 colours.

Like all other colors, they are simply the colors of the clusters.

    Thanks.

This paper has divided the Italian samples into clusters, and associated a different color to each cluster.

I understand, but why does Tuscany differ sharply from Emilia and Liguria to the north and Umbria and Lazio to the east and south?

Do you know where the samples from Liguria and Emilia come from? I did not find information in the paper.

Now I wonder how the residents of nearby Catania and slightly further away Messina would have felt like back when they lived in houses like these:

Or even older ones in ancient times, that were much more susceptible to earthquakes.
