I've recently completed a J-L24 SNP pack and received my results. FTDNA has marked me down as "J-FGC33111."
Does anyone have any information on this SNP?
The only thing I can find is at yfull, where it is listed as part of the SNPs that define J-PF2254. Does that mean I'm actually J-PF2254 or J-FGC33111?
Furthermore, yfull has J-PF2254 as formed 13,600 years ago but the most recent ancestor is 2000 years ago. How is such a big discrepancy possible?

I've read that before and I'm still not clear on it.
Well the FAQ explains the calculation of both figures when read in conjunction with the flyover text on the branch you refer to.
Glaring discrepancies often are due to insufficient samples distorting the sub-clade age.
Your case is extreme but not uncommon in that there is only ONE sample used in the calculation which presumably you looked at?
(since HG samples aren't good quality enough to use in the calcs - but you would have seen that when you looked at the branch age calculation notes). :-)

The FAQ says the SNPs in the flyover text are equivalent to the listed haplogroup, so... J-FGC33111 is actually J-PF2254 and therefore not downstream?

I am j-L24 i got my results from familytreedna. I took aother test on yseq that stated that i am not z-393. so I am either L84 or fgc33111. So maybe we are cousins
