Yes my mother is about 5/8 Scottish 3/8 Irish?(Surnames aren't that Irish) and maybe a smattering of English.

What's interesting is that unscaled web runner gives almost no Finnish/Icelandic/Norwegian/Saami. Judging by your comments should I take scaled results as more reliable?

I understand that the scaled data exaggerates minor components. I you search for Huijbregts posts, I think he has explained the difference.

    Scaled.

    English +Finnish +Irish +Orcadian +Scottish Custom:AGUser_firemonkey 0.7741 Open Map 26.4 1.4 29.2 18 25

So it exaggerates more with my mother than me.

    firemonkey,

Somebody posted coordinates for his parents, wife and children, so I made a PCA graphic to show how the expectation that you are intermediate between parents varies in reality, shown below, with red lines added between parents.

You can see that the estimation is not perfect.

If the estimation is accurate, your mother may have a 2 or 3 percent higher viking ancestry than is normal for Scottish-Irish.

I have no idea of whether it is perfect. All the results I get seem iffy.

As you can see there's a vast difference between scaled and unscaled for Norwegian for my mother.
