    They are not exactly Eastern European though. Especially Southern and Southwestern Finland where around 70% of Finnish population lives. Kind of between Scandinavia and the Baltic states, I would say + some more Siberian (5-10%).

    The words "European" and "Siberian" are geographical, not genetic. In the North-East of Europe there is an excess of Eurasian EHG, in the South-West there is an excess of Euro-middle East EEF. Who of these groups "true European" is not clear. I think both are Europeans, but different Europeans. In this format, the Finns are Europeans no less than Basques. Pay attention to the Estonians. Estonians have an average of 3% Siberian admixture. It is difficult to say that 97% of the Estonian gene pool is "European admixture".

    Yes, you have a point that these geographical labels aren't very useful, and vague.
    Anyways, no point further delving into that matter.
