    Predicting Haplogroup

So, i've already used the Morley predictor. Does anyone know of another predictor?

I have been predicted R1b-M529, I am looking to get more detail than that to see where I lie on my Y-DNA surname branch.

The Morley tool is not really a YSNP predictor tool - it goes through list of YSNPs and finds your lowest branch based only on YSNPs. There are two
YSNP predictor tools that predict your YSNP based on YSTR values. NevGen is one predictor tool and my R-L21 SNP predictor is another
(but only predicts up to the time prior to Big Y):

    http://www.nevgen.org/

    http://www.rcasey.net/DNA/R-L21_SNP_...tor_Intro.html

Both of these predictor tools only predict a subset of the haplogroups as it takes analysis to add prediction for every
haplogroup being discovered. But between both tools, they cover over 50 % of haplogroup R. I am working on an
updated version of my tool which is much more accurate and covers a lot more smaller haplogroups. It is pretty
amazing how both NevGen and my new tool are almost exact matches - but use very different mathematical
    models to predict.

There is also another flavor of YSNP prediction of much older branches:

Ancestrydna DOES have Y chromosme SNPs, at least the current version does. An odd list,
    but very useful.

I go with these rules for ancestry data downloads and where to find SNP .....since 2016

In the Ancestry file I see also data reported for chromosomes 23, 24, 25, 26.

If the Ancestry.com data file says a SNP is from chromosome 23, it's actually from the X chromosome.
If it indicates chromosome 24, it's from the portion of the Y chromosome that is not part of the pseudoautosomal region.
If it indicates chromosome 25, the designated SNP is from the pseudoautosomal region of the Y chromosome.
If it indicates chromosome 26, it's mitochondrial data

    European = 99.2%......Central Asian = 0.8% ....Yfull - 1460BC, Jura caves
    Father's Mtdna .........T2b17
    Grandfather's Mtdna .......T1a1e
    Sons Mtdna .......K1a4
    Maternal Grandfather paternal......I1d-P109...CTS6009
    Wife's Ydna .....R1a-Z282

    My Path = ( K-M9+, TL-P326+, T-M184+, L490+, M70+, PF5664+, L131+, L446+, CTS933+, CTS54+, CTS8862+, Z19945+, Y70078+ )

    The main negatives = ( M193-, P322-, P327-, Pages11- , L25- , CTS1848- )
