    P25xM269xM73xV88 - has it been tested for P297

    I was wondering about the apparent lack of P297*. Has all P25* actually been tested for P297? I have read it has rarely been tested for. It would be a major thing if some P25* (which may include some of the P343xM269xM73xV88 in places like Iran) which hasnt been tested for this is actually P297*. It would be an important thing IMO to test this out.

    Absurd! Asian P25+ are probably L388/L389- (so far Indian Raza and Joshi), thus neither R1b1*. Very unlikely they are L297+, which is a subclade of L388/L389+. The unique Asians which are presupposed to be L388/L389+ (but aren’t tested for these SNPs) are three Armenians: Vardapetian, Vartparonian and an Anonymous (but they have YCAII=23-23).They are all supposed to be P297-, otherwise they wouldn’t be in this cluster. And we are always with Armenians, of Indo-European language and probably come from the Balkans.
    Anyway P297 is in Geno 2.0, and all are tested for it.

    2372 Gheblikian Gheblikian, Aintab, Turkey R1b1 R-P25 P25+, L21-, M18-, M222-, M269-, M335-, M73-, P297-, P312-, U106-, V88-

    Just from a quick glance at the R1b1(xP297) DNA Project and not seeing any R-P297*. Looks like SNP P297 was part of the Deep Clade test and Geno 2.0 does test for it. This project could use more testing from the "stans" and south Caspian Sea area. Is that what you are seeing in the literature?

    Every thread like this needs the R1b Descendency Tree.

    The name "Āzar" (Persian: آذر‎) means Fire and Baijan was originally known as "Pāyegān" (Persian: پایگان‎) meaning Guardian/Protector. (Āzar Pāyegān = "Guardians of Fire") (Persian: آذر پایگان‎). Such name roots back to the "Zoroastrianism" era of Iran;
