    Phased 23andme vs Discover23

I am a little confused about my two results I would like to have some input to why mine vary.

I was wondering about my African ancestry and Italian ancestry on my AncestryDNA upload kit. Are these false positives?

Posts in the thread about the update indicate that the African you're seeing is some kind of glitch involving the X-chromosome on the DNA Day transfer kits. Seems several people with transfer kits/AncestryDNA upload kits have encountered this problem.
Ancestry paper trail tally: 21.1% Colonial American (British Isles, German, Dutch, Swiss, French), 14.1% not traced past 19th Century United States (MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA), 7.8% Canadian (Ontario & Quebec), 40.6% German, 15.6% Czech, 0.8% British & Irish

Pretty much exactly what happened to me! See:

The African DNA is no doubt spurious and not real. Hopefully as more people report this strange result it will be addressed, but for now I wouldn't trust your upload results at all.
