    anyone know if Nebula 30x is any different compared to Dante Lab 30x Quality ?
    and whether 30x WGS vs Big Y is better for Y-DNA detection accuracy?

    also what is your opinion on 0.4x sequencing in regards of Y-DNA detection accuracy.

    It is not worth the money if you are interested in Y-DNA.

    The BAM is generated directly from the CRAM file so there aren't temporary intermediate files also taking up more space. Assuming coverage isn't too high, 200 GB should be fine for you in my opinion although more free space is always better in this case. You might even get away with 100 GB although it's good to have extra free space for background Windows processes hence my 200 GB recommendation.

    Nebula 30X test result

    I received Nebula test results for a 30X kit on July 29th, 2021. The kit was mailed on Jan 17th. So it took about 6 1/2 months. I received an email from Nebula on Mar 4, saying "Your sample is entering quality control, then will be sequenced!" So it took almost five months after that to receive the results. The fastq files contain 100bp reads. There are 1,292,266,292 reads in the fastq files, so at 100bp/read that is 129 gigabases.

    I have a nebula genomics 30x test waiting for me at Dads I ordered it and then went away not knowing when it would arrive, of course it arrived the day after I left. There was a sale on so I took advantage and got the full package of $299 and the access for lifetime for $200 $499 in total. I figured it would be worthwhile. Sales are sales. The reason I ordered it is because my health conditions are getting to the point where Im fed up. I thought let genetics rule the day.
