After installing the JRE, you can download the Broad Institute's Picard Java executable to the folder where your CRAM file is, load the command prompt, move to the target folder like usual and type:

    java -jar -Xmx4g picard.jar SetNmMdAndUqTags -R WGSExtractBeta\WGSExtract\reference_genomes\GCA_00 0001405.15_GRCh38_no_alt_analysis_set.fna.gz -I X.cram -O X.bam --CREATE_INDEX true

This step generates a BAM file and indexes it at the same time, so you should be good to go if this method works for you.
Turns out, my PC was 64-bit after all... I had to update to Windows 10 (which is free if you have a legit copy of Windows 7), delete WGSExtract and start over. It took me about 20h to figure out what the problem was. Rookie mistake on my part I guess. Thanks for the advice anyway!

Hey all, I'm considering purchasing a 30x from Nebula for a family member but before I pull the trigger on the order I really would like to know some solid details about this FTDNA-Nebula partnership. I see that it's been pushed from Q2 to Q3 to now Q4, and we're half way through November. That's worrying, but has anyone heard/seen any new info on this front? Many thanks.

I placed an order 2 weeks ago and they still have not shipped the kit. Their response is: "Due to COVID-19 and the current shipping climate, there have been shipping delays for international kits and orders....". I'm surprised firms are still using this reason/excuse (since COVID-19 has been around for a while now).

Probably vaporware (as we say in the trade). Anyway you can already upload it to YFull and GEDMatch so what more do you want? :-)

FTDNA's Y and mtDNA databases came to my mind. Most FTDNA's customers do not upload their data to YFull.
