Thanks for the update. Do they give you Y or mtdna by the way? Any idea?
Paper trail ancestry to the best of my knowledge:
English (possibly containing some Welsh ancestry) 31.25%, Scottish 17.96%, Scotch-Irish 12.5%, Eastern German 12.5%, Eastern European (Likely Polish possibly including Romanian) 12.5%, French 7.81%, Native American (Saulteaux and Assiniboine) 2.34%, and Colonial American, 3.125%, which cannot be traced with certainty. With certainty, there is Dutch (at least 1.36%) and some English.

Received my report this morning. Itís basically Gencove. My results are a bit different as they did their own testing vs an Ancestry DNA upload analysis. Itís still a bit off the mark.

    Iíll post screenshots later.

    26% North/Central Europe
    22% Scandinavian
    15% North Italy
    14% Eastern Med
    11% North British Isles
    6% Southwest Europe
    6% Northeast Europe

How much did it cost? Interesting that they set 25% South Italian as 15% North 14 East med + 6% Southwest Europe
. Not the first time that happen.

Itís $99. Just last week I saw reports that it was $40. Itís not worth full price. Maybe at $40 if your curiosity cannot stand not taking another test. But even then I would say pass. I still need to look at the raw data and see what I can do with it. Iím absolutely uninterested in the health or traits aspect of this test.

Thank you for your response. You can get it for free i notice if you refer it to people and answer questions.
If the rawdata works for gedmatch etc its nice.

I dont think the .vcf file can be uploaded to Gedmatch so if ancestry is your thing, take a hard pass on this one. I'm not interested in my freckles or ear wax type, and Im not very interested in uploading a bam file to promethease for health related things.

The ancestry map is the exact same as Gencove's was.
