As did I -- now there is a new currently all-Lebanese subclade of J2a1a1g ... the match is with a (new?) academic sample, so either a fairly close relative, or it's also me from somewhere else and the snake is eating its own tail


Edit: Well, it says they are from Lebanon [collected there or just MDKA there?], so perhaps a relative still in the old country?

In the study, the person is still listed as J2a1a1a

And now J2a1a1g is gone, and many of the samples that had new designations have reverted back to plain old J2a1a1*. Not sure what's going on at yfull...

Has anyone learned what is going on with YFull's MTDNA tree? Like Dewsloth, YFull assigned me to a new branch not listed in PhyloTree or elsewhere (U2e1j1 in my case), and then that new branch assignment disappeared. They were doing good work identifying new branches easily defined from genbank and user data... then they all disappeared.
