Shared cMs apart with deep dive (which are doubtful to say the least) do the ancient samples make sense to you ?
It just feels extremely misleading to me. MTA claims to have samples of Franks, "Seleucids", etc and I've yet to see Frankish samples anywhere else. This is not the only example one could cite. Overreaching in order to try and get customers is to me, at least, a bit scammy or at the very least it is dishonest IMO.

@passenger, the whole deep dive thing and people sharing rather significant cMs with these ancient samples should be setting alarm bells off, and yet somehow Facebook and other social media is riddled with posts about MTA and the results provided.

^ You make a good point about the samples. I think MTA should be more open about where they are getting their samples from . I would only call it a scam , if they know they are overreaching and have carried on regardless .

Just sample from Butkara is wrongly assigned by MTA as partly Greek. And make "hahahha" to Davidski and his G25 not me... And yes G25 is better than MTA.

Any future questions about this sample please send to Davidski. He will certainly enlighten you.
Hey man , sorry for that but this is forum to discuss , you was right, after that discuss they remove indogreek and i got message from MTA ...

Thank you Spruithean, what will it tell me? I sought out My True Ancestry to match my DNA to ancient samples and determine which ancient groups I may possibly be descended from.. Does this tool/site do that?

    Hello Settler23,

Here is an example of what it can do. These are the results of my G25 coordinates run against the Ancient Population Averages data sheet:

    JMcB_scaled_default

    Fit: 1.2831

    England_Roman: 23.4
    England_IA: 19.2
    Scotland_LBA: 12.2
    DEU_MA: 8
    England_Saxon: 6.2
    CZE_Hallstatt_Bylany: 5.4
    ITA_Collegno_MA: 2.6
    Iberia_Northeast_Empuries1: 1.4
    SWE_IA: 1.4
    USA_colonial_period: 1.4
    Wales_CA_EBA: 1.4
    DEU_Halberstadt_LBA: 1
    DEU_Welzin_BA_outlier3: 1

You can see my ancestry in the signature below.

If you have a computer you can download the files you need to run G25 yourself. If not you can use internet platforms like Poi’s Runner or Vahaduo. You should be able to find threads dealing with each of those options in the autosomal section of anthrogenica
    Paper Trail: 42.25% English, 31.25% Scottish, 12.5% Irish, 6.25% German, 6.25% Italian & 1.5% French. Or: 86% British Isles, 6.25% German, 6.25% Italian & 1.5% French.
    LDNA(c): 86.3% British Isles (48.6% English, 37.7% Scottish & Irish), 7.8% NW Germanic, 5.9% Europe South (Aegean 3.4%, Tuscany 1.3%, Sardinia 1.1%)
