Question Is there a tool to do Y-DNA estimate?

I'm looking for a good and reliable tool for an estimate/detect of my Y-DNA from a MyHeritage raw. (Yeah, unfortunatelly I did my test with them... )

MorleyDNA is your best bet, but you will get a *really* broad result as you tested with MyHeritage

Thank you for feedback! For the first time it's a little hard to understand. I got back an Y-SNP format. What should I do with this?

Upload the .txt file you (presumably) downloaded to MorleyDNA's tool and click on this link. It should be relatively straightforward from there.

If you can show a screenshot of your results, that would be great

Hmm. I got N1c1a1a1a (N1c1a1a1a1~1), but yeah it's a "most likely" result as the calculator said. But as Hungarian it's probably related group. Thank you again Aaron!

Could you show me a screenshot of the results page itself? With so little Y-SNPs tested for by MyHeritage, false alarms are likely. You can send the screenshot by private message if you wish.

If this result is accurate that wouldn't be very surprising considering you are Hungarian, also this study may interest you: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/bior...97997.full.pdf

This study covers the Hun period, Avar period and the Conqueror (Magyar) periods, it is quite an interesting study they found quite a diverse number of haplogroups ranging from R-U106, N clades, I2 clades and I1.

Wow! Thank you very much! It's a very informative study! Yes, I think starting with the Scythians, the peoples of the Western Eurasian Steppes were very mixed.

(Anyway with the MyTrueAncestry.com and also with the yourDNAportal's ancestral population calculators, I got a very strong Scythian signal.)

Would you have any tips or ideas about my haplogroup? I tested with MyHeritage as well, and used MorleyDNA to do a haplogroup prediction.

I am from Bosnia & Herzegovina, and my haplogroup shows up as R1b1a2a1a1 R1b-M405/S21/U106.
From what I gather, that is a very small haplogroup in the Balkans and especially in Bosnia and is usually found around Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany?
Also from another test, which matched DNA to skeletons around the world, My 3 highest matches where 2 Belgian skeletons and 1 Hungarian in South Western Hungary. I forgot the name of the site, but I will update with a link if I manage to find it.

Any help or insight would be appreciated
