I1-Mav11 A new clade; are you in it?

Using some brand new haplotype extensions to 111 STRs, Nordtvedt put together a new clade in I1xL22. It is called I1-Mav11.
You can see the STR values which identify the clade in the excel file "The I1 modalities" at his website.

I1-Mav11 as well as a bunch of other clades whose names he has colored rose need some snp tests so they can find their proper place in the whole I1 tree.

If you are in one of these rose colored clades, and can do some basic snp tests like DF29 and Z58, you not only help place your haplotype in the I1 tree, but you also put the whole clade in its tree place.

    I am in this I1-Mav11, and tested DF29+ Z58- and Z63- (FTDNA kit #229706)

I am not sure what next to test, but think maybe L1274 and L1275.

I would agree. So far L1274+ and L1275+ have been confined to AS7e clade, but there are some hints of closeness between AS7e and Mav11.

What I am really hoping for is that Mav11 might in the end turn out to sit on a transitional branch between the earlier L22- and L22+ portion of the tree.
There's no way to explore this idea right now it seems.

It does seem transitional. What I don't understand is why there is such a small number of people with these characteristics. In one respect I wonder if we are not all related; or, are we related to individuals in other clades? My only close match was to a first cousin, but even then two mutations were noted. My 2nd losest match was a 3-step match to someone in Finland at 37 markers, but the genetic distance was 9 at 67 markers and 20 at 111 markers. There was a third distant match to someone in Norway, but the genetic distance was 22 over 111 markers. If each generation showed 1-2 mutations, it would quickly look as though members of the same paternal line were not related. Does that make sense?

No mav 11 has ever tested z58+. Terminal snps at this time would be cts6364+,z2336+, or L69+.
I just received my yprime results, and there is another assumed mav11 who has just ordered bigY, so hopefully we will have answers soon.

These are the latest SNP branches to mav11. Closely associated with I1-P

    we (mav11 ) are L69+, Y3866+,S4767+, S7642+, S7657+, S16432+,S11236+. For now I1-S11236, but I have 34 private markers as well. More info to come

At which stage it diverged with I1-P?

S7642 is available for testing and covers I1-P and I1-mav11.

Is there any draft tree available to see those SNPs and number of novel variants?
