    American born in 1644

I have just realized that one of my ancestors was born in what is today Massachusetts in 1644. I am friggin STOKED! The man was the son of an english sea captain and is a prominent name in the local history. Previously planned, is a trip to this very area this summer. It makes this trip so much more interesting to know my ancestors were involved in the history.
I hope to explore the cemetery and museums of this area and particularly barnstable, mass. Anybody familiar with this area?
