    Undisturbed Roman shipwreck and cargo

An undisturbed Roman shipwreck has been found off the coast of Cyprus, with a cargo of amphorae. I don't know whether the tale is apocryphal, but I remember reading that Jacques Cousteau once sampled a Roman wine from the seabed and found it enjoyable. The Romans often used resin to seal their amphorae, which is how people developed a taste for resinated wine, in turn the origin of modern Greek Retsina. I wonder whether these seals could hold to today without oxygen.
It's unclear from this story whether the containers on this ship held wine, oil, garum or something else. I certainly hope it's wine. Two thousand year old Falernian, anyone?
