My father's Aringa (Central Sudanic speakers), mother's Kakwa (Easten-Sudanic)-- I came to find out after testing family members, Ugandan/DRC Kakwa's are more or less autosomally Central-Sudanic after >5 centuries of assimilation.

Wow! So, northern/NE Ugandans alongside NE Congolese Nilosaharan speakers have some west African admixture?

Yes, definitely so! NE-Congo/NW-Uganda Nilo-Saharan speakers like the Alur appear to be nearly ~50% West-African (see spreadsheet below).
This is likely mostly attributed to recent Bantu admixture, very common for other Luos in the Great Lakes region.

It's worth mentioning though, even the "purest" of nilotes like the Dinka (Shuluk, Bari, Nuer, Anuak etc.) are themselves ~10-30% West-African. Their West-African affinity shouldn't be confounded with Bantu migrations, it lacks the "E_Benue" component associated with Bantu pops on puntdnal K8:

 

- it could be derived from a more ancient source, likely taking place in the central/southern-sahara during and/or before (<7000 BC) the last Green-Sahara period



There's also the afmd Kakwa, a far-flung group of Nilo-Saharan speakers in NE/Congo and NW/Uganda. They're from the same Eastern-Nilotic linguistic branch as the Kenyan Turkana/Maa/Samburu but are known to have been heavily assimilated with Central-Sudanic speakers on their migration through S.Sudan before dispersing to NE Congo and NW Uganda.

From runs I've observed with immediate family members and other users, Central-Sudanics bordering S.Sudan/DRC/Uganda (Lugbara, Aringa, Madi), along with the Kakwa and other regional Eastern Nilotic speaking pops (Bari, Pöjulu, Mondari) are ~40% West-African. Their West-African affinity could mostly be associated with ancient Sahelian pops in the Lake Chad basin during the last Green-Sahara period (7500 –3000 BCE). Their results are strikingly close to the Central-Sudanic speaking Bulala in Chad, minus the minor West-Eurasian and Ubangian affinity (results found on the K8 spreadsheet).

That's neat! Have you tried getting your nMonte G25 cords yet? It's more reliable than these commercial admixture runs.

I’m thinking you guys are the missing population and the reason why we G25 always absorb most of my Bantu(when using Kongo and TZ Pemba 700bp as proxy for Bantu) as a Nilotic pop. is added. Also why Mandenka is picked instead of Yoruba,Kongo and even Tz Pemba( this being an example of early Bantus were before mixing with Nilotes and Cushites.
Is there a way I can use you as reference for Nilotic admixture on G25?
