Quite interesting to see that African gene flow occurred in these people. What is amazing that the African genetic marks are still found in Ashkenazim Jews, and they did not have any slaves or such but it indicates their Semitic origins I believe.

Semitic is a linguistic term, there's no such thing as a Semitic ethnicity, would you say that Lebanese and Ethiopians belong to the same ethnicity just because both populations speak Semitic languages? Ashkenazim don't seem to have admixed a lot with Europeans (at least, Europeans north of the Mediterranean, Ashkenazim probably admixed with southeastern Europeans, or perhaps the genetic landscape of the near east 2,000 years ago was more Mediterranean/European like), this can be seen from their lack of WHG, and their IBD sharing with Sephardi Jews, Greeks and Basques. The high frequency of haplogroups such as E3b, J2 and J1 also explain that. The only way to truly answer all of these questions is ancient DNA.

That map shows Basque to be the same as French and both are lighter than Italians Bulgarians, Greeks, Russians, Turks, and Iranians. That is what I expected because ADMIXTURE and PCA plots show the Basque to be further away from Ashkenazi than other Europeans and Middle Easterners. basques spoke vasconic and 90% of vasconic is in france

Another map shows Basques to be darker coloured on the map. This map comes from a Russian forum called "Verenich" or something like that. Next to the map the author explains that the IBD sharing Ashkenazis have with Greeks and Basques comes from common kinship while the IBD with eastern Europeans comes from continuous cohabitation.

That map is older. I have provided ample evidence that Basques are not closely related to Ashkenazi.
