    U4a2f General

    Anyone with mt Haplogroup U4a2f?

An interesting characteristic of my mitochondrial genome is that apparently I lack the 15172A mutation that is normally found in U4a2f people... does it mean that I belong to a different haplogroup / subclade?

My earliest known female ancestor's name was Maria Petrocchi and lived in Rivera (Switzerland) around 1850. I already joined FTDNA's U4 project.

You can also find this publication interesting as it attests the presence of this group in Corded Ware Poland (Malżyce in 2300 - 2800 BCE):
