Interesting. Is he/she a mix of three different ethnicities/tribes (Zulu_Sotho_Swati)? Interesting, the user doesn't seem to have any Eurasian ancestry at all (does the Sudanese and KEN_LSA have some non-African admixture?)

Do you know where the Bantu S.E. samples are from? In the global 25 nmonte runner from what I remembered it mentioned that they were from Tanzania, but then I am surprised because the samples have substantial Khoisan/Southern African-like ancestry (around 20% something if I remembered correctly from the Vahaduo G25 runs that I did). I don't think Tanzanian Bantus have that notable amount of Khoisan-related affinity? It actually fascinates me how distant the Mozambican Bantus are from their northern counterparts in Kenya such as the Luhya, Bantu_Kenya.

Furthermore, it looks like the Gambian and Mandenka samples are pulled further east from the West-Central Africans like the Cameroonians or the Mozambican Bantus and are plotted closer to the Luo, Luhya and Bantu_Kenya. If I remember in some Vahaduo runs I did, the Gambians and Mandinka have some East African/Nilotic-like affinity? Could that be why?

Also do you know what ethnicities are the Gambian samples? I assume its Wolof, Mandinka and Serer? If we can include the Jola and other Casamance tribes like Manjack, I assume might be pull further west towards the Cameroonian and Mozambican Bantus. Also it would be great if we can have some Bissagos samples from Guinea Bissau added into G25 as they seem to be fairly isolated from the West African mainland.

What startled me even more than any of the above, by the way, is that domed mat-tents are actually found all over the Sahel, even among the Fulani. It's inspired a whole new interest in me and I recently started reading this and becoming quite interested in Chadic speakers in particular and whether or not they're responsible for the spreading of these cultural implements.
It seems some parts of Yemen & Saudi Arabia also have these cushitic domed mat tents. Possible Horner influence or coincidence? I'm not sure but I find it interesting that the T lineages found among the Dir Somalis seem to have come from there and I forgot which linguist it was but one did suggest a Cushitic substratum in Modern South Arabian.

The Tihama region of Yemen and parts of Saudi Arabia appears to have had long standing contact with the African coast of the Red Sea. You can find a lot of relevant literature online but I’ll try to find the one I have in mind.

I'm fully aware of the history of my region with Southern Arabia (maternal family lived there for generations) but these doomed matted houses are similar to those found among the Sudanese Arabs and interior Cushite speakers like the Oromos,Konso and Sidamo.I also don't think Horners during recorded history had a big enough presence in Arabia to have that much of a cultural impact and it's absent from the Southern seaboard of Yemen (Aden,Hadhramawt). In Northern Yemen,Jizan and Tihamah it's found among settled locals in more isolated mountainous regions. The Yemeni Bedouins clearly use the regular Bedouin tents so it's only found among the subsistence farmers:

More photos of settled Yemenis using the cushitic styled huts:

Maybe these were the huts used prior to the Arabization of Yemen with the Bedouins representing the Northern migrants who brought Arabic to Yemen?

Well it can be Garifuna_Honduras_simulated if you want as most Garifunas seem to come from these vicinities (Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, etc). Not sure about the subregion in particular as I don't really know much about these countries.

I can give some examples of some pre-Columbian samples that you can used such as PER_RioUnCallane_1800BP, CHL_Los_Rieles_10500_BP or ARG_LagunaChica_6800BP, USA_Anzick, etc.

Can you link me to the page of the South African user sample? Want to see it.

Its possible that it could be a coincidence, we had the same in North Africa (attested in ancient Egypt and in Cartage and were common in NW Africa until the 60's).

It isn't a coincidence when these people are our neighbors and the region that has this is literally on the coast while the other Arabians live in bedouins tents or mudbrick houses. These Yemenis of SW Arabia seem to have settlements mostly similar to the settled cushites but also some similar to the nomadic cushites which makes sense due to geographic proximity and having more historical relations with the Northern highlanders of the Horn.We impacted them with clothings such as macawiis, qaat plant etc, I wouldn't be suprised if this is another one of our cultural impacts on the region. People want to make it seem it was one-sided interactions between the Horn & Southern Arabia when it wasn't.

    Garre Somalis (Southern Ethio/Northern Kenya)

    Afars (Ethio,Eritrea,Djibouti)

Settled Cushitic/Semitic Farming huts of the Ethiopian highlands (Oromo,Amhara,Sidamo,Eritrean tigre/tigrayans):

I want to see where this simulated individual would plotted. The reason why it is simulated is because I don't think there are any Garifuna who has done G25 test. I have seen some Gedmatch kits of them though but I'm too shy to ask them to do G25. I used the Esan_Nigeria and BHS_Taino (Taino, a precolonial Arawakan speaking Native American tribe from Bahamas and other parts of the Caribbean) to create them. The reason I used Esan is because that there African ancestry seem to be signifcantly Benin/Togo-related but there are no Benin/Togo samples in G25, so I thought Esan would be the closest: https://tracingafricanroots.wordpres...bbean-results/

    All Africans:

Please do let us know when you come across actual cords of real Garifuna samples.

Also, let me know your take on pre-Columbian proxies backed by some form of analysis (Fstats, ADMIXTURE etc.) -- I left a post on the thread you started here. I'm interested to know your findings.

For added comparison, It'd be nice to have a separate category for these Afro-New_World samples plotted along these North/Tropical/South-Africans (I'm thinking of the colour Blue )-- we'd need a broad range of accurate indigenous proxies for the Americas.
    .... .. I have spoken."
