What's strange is that the E incidence increases on Medieval times.

(CL63 should be close to my father too then)

Thanks, I was not expecting it to be found in Rome, but you never know with old and weird haplogroups.

Well even Goths had individuals with yDNA E, I suppose some of those could have been brought with Ostrogoths. Just an idea

AFAIK, there were just one or two locations of R1a-Z284 in the region, being Bavaria and Slovenia, matching the Rugian homeland of Hrodwulf and his Heruli from Rogaland in Norway, this being a natural contender for North Germanic DNA. It makes more sense to see I1 as East Germanic DNA coming from Gothiscandza (Götaland and Skåne) in Sweden, to include Goths from Gotland and Burgundians from Bornholm, as R1b would have been associated with West Germanic DNA--some say Lombards aren't of East Germanic origin--all of which arrived after Theodoric was replaced by Charlemagne.

Only one male Etruscan sample and it belongs to J-M12. In contrast, there are five Latini tribe males and they are overwhelmingly M269:

    R-PF7589
    R-P312
    R-P312
    R-P311
    R-M269

It will be interesting to see if this will be the trend with more samples.

Yeah, sample R19 from Ripabianca di Monterado. Seems to be L26+, not sure if it's positive for anything under L26 though.
