There was a pretty reassuring message from Curtis Rogers, late last night (EST), presumably to any Gedmatch customer whose registered email address actually works. Those who like to complain about everything might profitably check their spam folders, or wherever they keep stuff they don't normally intend to read.

Look, Curtis' website provided our community with everything we wanted and more.
The site also appealed to other communities, like law enforcement.
Curtis' actions are entirely up to him.
    Always have been.
The hush-hush part doesn't appeal to me.
A Press Release, then an email.
    For that reason I'm out.
Don't care to do business with Verogen.
Thank you, Curtis Rogers, for an over the moon genetic genealogy site.
Everything you could ask for...and more!
All the best to you, Curtis.
