Default run with no pruning. As you can see you get British isles, some lithuanian, and a lot of peninsular arab (Yemenite). No "Egyptian" to speak of.

Targeted run with your known ancestry. The model pics Irish over Welsh but I know the Welsh g25 samples are quite neolithic shifted so maybe they don't represent your welsh ancestry very well.

I'm very certain your father was half Yemenite or another type of peninsular arab, which matches with your 23andme where you score peninsular arab not egyptian.

K50 shows peninsular arab again. I notice on default settings you get peninsular arab + some east african, in this case ahmharic. So your Yemeni side is probably a tiny bit east african shifted.

So he’s not half Egyptian but half Yemenite?

Yes and I don't know why people told you he was half Egyptian when your 23andme clearly says peninsular arab. You don't get modelled well with north african populations and peninsular arabs/north africans are not close genetically so I highly doubt 23andme would make such a huge error.

Yemenites have been in Wales for 100 years now, Egyptians are very recent immigrants (1970s onwards), you're only 25% so its clear your mena grandparent settled in the UK a while ago, obviously not Egyptian.

I honestly don’t know. I’m just going with what is being told, because I get told different things.
