This calculator has north african reference populations. you get 0% north african, and get modelled with mena + east african. Aka yemenite. You also get modelled as just NW Euro + east euro; which shows to me your fathers other half was local British and that you have no other foreign ancestry.

I do get Egyptian on 23andme, that’s probably why that assumption was made.

When you posted it before, you scored peninsular arab not egyptian. can you post an actual screenshot of your 23andme instead of the copy/paste? You can pm it me if you don't want it public for whatever reason.

Some Welsh cities with historic Yemeni populations, from the 1920s onwards. Maybe one of them is your home town or your dad is from one of these towns I don't know.

Also, perhaps Iím reading this wrong but on that supreme regional calculator, why do I score the same amount of Eastern Euro as Middle East?

You should be around 12.5% Lithuanian, you get modelled better as around 18% on that calc, probably the case you just inherited more of this dna. You get 50% from each parent so just because you're 12.5% by paper trail doesn't mean you'll get bang on 12.5%.

Ohh okay, I just wondered because the Middle Eastern dna is a grandparent, the Eastern European is a great grandparent lol

You get east african also in that calc. That calc doesn't have a Yemenite reference, so you get modelled as mena + east african there.

Ok Mia I looked at the PM. Whoever told you that you score Egyptian on 23andme needs reading glasses, you score mainly peninsular arab, then 5% broadly arab ,egyptian and levantine, that isn't egyptian, it's just broadly MENA that hasn't been narrowed down. You score 0% Egyptian.

Egyptians started coming into the UK in the 70s but most in the 80s or 90s, we're talking about a grandparent, unless you're 5 years old and your father is 20 and grandfather 40 you can't have an Egyptian grandparent.
