Egyptians started coming into the UK in the 70s but most in the 80s or 90s, we're talking about a grandparent, unless you're 5 years old and your father is 20 and grandfather 40 you can't have an Egyptian grandparent.

Shouldn’t I be scoring a lot more for the British % if that is the case? I mean 3 grandparents, 3 great grandparent parents from my mothers side, assuming his other parent was british then they most likely had british parents as well, yet I only get 49%. It just seems off considering the majority of my dna is supposed to be british

Full Brits on 23andme score between 50-80% British, 49% British is more than my mother who is 7/8th british 1/8th french (she scores 42.5%) Only the Irish score 90+% British.

You have no foreign ancestry other than this lithuanian/Yemeni and that minor swedish or whatever.

The issue Mia is you take everything very literally, you see 49% British on 23andme and literally think you're 49% British only and then begin theorising you have a bunch more unknown foreign ancestry, but things don't work like that which is what me and others have been explaining to you for months. You should be pretty aware now you're 25% Peninsular arab 12.5% lithuanian and the rest British.

No I am aware. I’m not theorising anything, I’m just going by what I see. Because I do get Southern Europe pop up, in two commercial tests and then it appears on GEDMatch and vahaduo but I get told to ignore it, the same with the French %. I have cousins from my grandmothers side that haven taken tests and they all score around 98% British. I’m just not convinced he’s half British, I’m not trying to say I have a bunch of unknown ancestry at all, I’m just saying that I am not convinced he’s half british, if that were the case figuring it out wouldn’t have been this hard.

Check this, it's with your Irish/Welsh/Lithuanian ancestry removed. Shows your remaining 25% is very close to Yemen as I've been saying all this time. You don't have affinity with Egypt.
