I confirm. Maybe they realize it was useless to make people pay for something they would end up getting it for free in one way or another.

Then I really don't know what to say, I accessed the pdf via that button the moment link to the article was posted on AG yesterday. There must've been at least several dozen papers on PNAS which I accessed that way over the past few years, and not once they required a subscription/log in/payment. It's hard to imagine they would require some people to pay and the others not to.

Cant wait till someone creates a table of yDNA using shorthand names on a table arranged by date/period/culture. My eyes and knowledge is not up to handling that massive table.

Hmm, seems to be some differences between Y haplogroup calls in the paper and the spreadsheet and they are using different versions of ISOGG, I wonder why ?

Being ADHD with zero patience I set up a PNAS account, paid the fee and voila, pdf in hand. It was a few pennies more than I paid for the quarter pounder with cheese and medium fries I had for supper last night, so it was easy to justify this modest expense. Priorities. Would gladly give up my supper for a night if it meant having access to a paper of monumental importance such as this one.

BTW am still in shock over the apparent (at least until the BAM files are analyzed) lack of any variety of R-U152 in the Bronze Age and Iron Age samples.
