Can West Asian of MyHeritage be considered as an Arabian component?

I am 100% Arab but I scored 67% West Asian and 10% Middle Eastern. I think West Asia and Middle East of MyHeritage are just the same components so I think West Asia can be considered as an Arabian component. I think MyHeritage should merge its West Asia and Middle East component into one.

1)MyHeritage is the worst commercial DNA test
2)No Western Asia should be definitely separate from Red Sea Middle East, and its not arabian exclusively and shouldn’t be it - Kurds, Persians, Mazandaranis, Turks, Lebanese Christians, Caucasus people etc are all west asians but not arab.

Yes but don’t they have Arabian blood? The natives of West Asia are Arabs. Iranians and Turks came from Central Asia and mixed with local Arabs. This might be reason why they score West Asian that much. I think MyHeritage should fuse West Asian and Middle Eastern components into one. I scored 67% West Asian and 10% Middle Eastern but I could have scored 77% Middle Eastern and 0% West Asian for example. That would be the same. It is just a lottery how much you scored West Asian or Middle Eastern. In the end they are the same components.

The natives of West Asia (referring to South Caucasus - Anatolia - Iranian Plateau) are not Arabs, by any stretch of imagination, especially when it comes to their Neolithic genetic components. You should use your raw file to obtain G25 co-ordinates from Eurogenes and paint a clearer pictures of your components, rather than getting hung up on Myheritage's outdated and often nonsensical categorisation.

For me, West Asian and Middle Eastern components are the same components with different names. They are not different from each other.

Well you are VERY mistaken then. In general Turks, Azerbaijanis, Kurds, Persian + other south Caucasians grouped together. The levantine people are grouped together, and peninsulan arabs are grouped together. Traditionally northwestern or western Asian is designated to the iranian + Caucasian + anatolian plateau.

The component does overlap with Levantines and other Semites.

I think the component on MyHeritage that peaks in the Arabian Peninsula is the Middle East component. My mother scored 10% Middle Eastern which is equivalent to her 8-10% Yemeni ancestry on G25

West Asian is just more northern-like ancestry. It is native, however I wouldn't call it Arab as it is not a significant component in Saudi Arabian, Yemenis, etc. It is interesting considering you are Palestinian you should be getting less West Asia, but you have more which just means you look more like Lebanese-Syrians/Iraqis/Armenians. Let me remind you that nationalities outside the Arabian Gulf should not be considered Arab because every region has its own ancestry. Combining the two would not make sense as they are different types of ancestry. My results were 33.4% West Asia, 27.3% Middle Eastern, 15.4% South Europe, 10.1% Ashkenazi Jewish, 12.8% North Africa, and 1% West Africa. However, myheritage results are probably not the most revealing ancestry tests. Most results are as mixed as mine and probably mislabeled: for example, my Ashkenazi is clearly not real and the North African is heavily overestimated as most calculators give me ~5%.
