Has anyone tried fixing up a PCA exploring Turkic/Mongol/Turkish ancestry in South Asians?

Its abit difficult cuz it will usually just quantify East Asian-like signals versus otherwise. Playing around with the PCs can be confusing. If anyone can suggest the populations to use than sure I'll give it a crack.

Couple more photos of ancestors from the early 1900s:

First two were taken in Delhi and the last one in Ajmer.

Yeah I would imagine Nepali, NE Indian, and Bengali members would get the most affinity to Mongol/NE Asian.

Here's a nice visual on distribution of components of various Turks based on g25. South Asians with such ancestry would be most likely to descend from the Turks that are closer by geographically (Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan), so there will be a lot of overlap with South Central Asia like components as well as Steppe_MLBA moreso with our NW South Asian members. We’d want to focus on the other components that stand out in Turks

Heyy, wasn't sure where to post this so please feel free to tell me to relocate if it'd be better placed elsewhere..

essentially, I wanted to ask: does anyone else get matches from the Caucasus region?

My Dad, sister and I all get a decent number of Azeri (between 4-8) and Turkish (between 3-8) matches on 23andme.

My sister also gets 6 Armenian, 2 Turkish and NW Iranian IBD matches on her X chromosome (at around 14-25cm)

Was wondering: does this signify anything (ie. ancient CHG or distant Turkic ancestry) or is it likely just noise?

Interestingly, these matches (if real/reliable) are almost certainly from my paternal grandmother who was a Punjabi Rajput with no foreign ancestry claims.

My mom has several Iranian/Turkish/Azeri relatives on 23andMe.

It could be by coincidence, IBS.

It could be actual relatives of Iranian migrants from the 1500-1800s.

My mom also has plenty of full European matches, even some at 0.18% shared, which we don't fully understand.

0.26% is the highest European (I assume Anglo from the surname) match for me, followed by a Sicilian at 0.22%.
