    Kelteminar Y-DNA

A thread for predictions of Kelteminar culture Y-DNA. My guesses below.

    R1a
    R1b
    Q
    J1
    J2a (possibly)

There won't be any R1a in Kelteminar, because R1a is missing from Central Asia until the Andronovo expansion.

Y-DNA Q(1a), R2*-M479 and potentially R1b-Z2103 (Afanasievo had material contacts with the culture) are my guesses.

Iirc, some mixture of West Siberian Hunter Gatherer-like and Iran Neolithic, so most likely Y markers are Q, R2, J(1 or 2) etc.

Wouldn’t N1c also probably be present considering the connection to the Pit Comb Ware Culture?

I think that's not outside the realm of possibility, but I'm not aware of what the Comb Ceramic association is based on, and I think typically Q predominates over N1 in Paleosiberian related groups (for example Botai), and Kelteminar appears to have ancestry from such a Paleosiberian population.

Apparently some of the Kelteminar ancestors are supposed to have migrated from further south around Hissar.

Where is the information from that Kelteminar is a mix of West Siberian Hunter-Gatherers and Iran Neolithic like ancestries?
