    Anybody testing R1b-y23493?

    Anybody testing this?

This is branching off of Z2103 - BY250.
Y23493 formed 3900 ybp, TMRCA 3900 ybp. Its my newly discovered Y Chromosome root Haplogroup.
Apparently, started in the European Alps area and must have been Cro-Magnon, early Homo Sapiens.

NO. This sub-clade started with the Yamnaya in Eastern Europe then moved to Poland - Ukraine, Corded Ware Culture, about 2500 ybp.

Interesting, may I ask how you know this? I have found very little on R1b-y23493.

I am the Admin of the R1b BY250 project at both FTDNA and YFull. There are currently 11 members of the branch R1b Y23493 and below. http://www.familytreedna.com/groups/...out/background & https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-BY250/

I have tested With FTDNA via my brother and the Geno 2.0 Project. He has also tested with FDNA 37STRs. I/We are solidly Italian - parents, grands, great-grands. Thus I am confused.
Can you give me an indication of what origins these 11 Y23493 members are? I see from your site it is mostly Germanic, whereas I know this sub-clade started with the Yamnaya. And yet, I will post a SNP pedigree that is much older.

    Pedigree attachment.

Sub-clade R-Y23493 has 6 sub-clades below it. R-Y23493 is 3800 years ago, so its very old. Therefore the people have had a lot of time to migrate all over Europe/Asia. We do have one person from Italy in a sub-clade below, R-Y28788. Some are from England, we even have one from Mongolia, China.

What Y-DNA tests did you take? Big-Y? SNP Pack? Most of my members have all taken the Big-Y tests. I could not find you at FTDNA, you can contact me privately though this site or email me at my FTDNA project.

Testing via Y-SEQ. Have tested R-Y28788-, thus it's between there and R_Y23493+. I am seeking the mutation's origin.

YFull has some of them, because some members didn't join. https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Y23493/

Here is FTDNA public haplotree: https://www.familytreedna.com/public...;name=R-Y23493 Click to open sub-clades below.

R-Y28788-, eliminates all the sub-clades below. These people are from Italy and England. You need to test for Y23493, BY47087, FT150694.
