They are both Tuscan (province of Lucca), from communities just a few miles apart.

I had been thinking that maybe the reason I have so few DNA relatives is because 23andMe may have very few Central Italian customers.. But considering you have so many and are Tuscan.. I wonder why I only have 43 DNA relatives? (I guess there must have been lots of inbreeding in those Lazio hills)

You only have 42 dna matches? You should e-mail their support, that seems almost impossible, regardless of where you are from

I have over 1500 DNA relatives.
My kit has been phased with a parent.
    I have 1447 on mother’s side.
But only 43 on Italian fathers side.
    Does that still seem odd?
