Yes and if he had've looked at my American matches he would see that most of them are actually mostly Scottish. I am Northern Irish.

And my GG Uncle whom is the 'founder' of most of those ancestors actually listed himself as Scottish in every American census.

Thanks for clarifying. I have to say looking at the CvG, you really don't look dramatically different.......well at least for the first 10 or so components

We're quite a bit different on G25 based on the plot Davidski sent me.. but I suppose he really is my dad.

Without the eastern component brought in by G25 I guess I wouldn't really be all that different. Both my parents are about 30% Scottish so I have on paper the same Scottish percentage as dad.

That would make sense, give or take an Ancestry Scottish percentage.

I guess in the case of NW Europe, we see IMO that the 'grand design' was laid in LNBA, and than I mean the integration of hunter-farmer-herder genes. Or in cultures: the Funnelbeakers and Single Grave/ Battle Axe, the Bell Beakers were a clear and early example of that blend. But I didn't stop with the Bell Beakers this blend went on until today all within the frames of the LNBA design, with of course regional variaties. But they don't seem to exclude each other, there are 'vague' subclusters with some more Irish or Northern France, but not mutual exclusive. The conclusion can be that this represent the 'genetic reality' as it is. Or we need even more fine tuned tools/models to detect some coherent subclusters. I'm not sure about that. May be others can drop a line about this...
