No surprises here, as other ancient Turkic samples and near by cultural zones have appeared with this J2a2 branch.
Also interesting to note that the ancient RISE504 sample from Kytmanovo that was previously only listed as J2 actually belongs to this same clade!

    L51>L52>Y215377 level: *no calls*
What is pre-L51? Does this mean that L23 had another sister subclades along with L51 and Z2103, or that there was an intermediate subclades between L23 and L51?

It mean the sample has both derived and ancestral SNPs at L51 level.

Wow just wild! It certainly seems like J2a-PF4993>PH1795* was an important lineage among the early Turkic peoples.

A Chinese article by Liu Shuhu et al. ("Study on Genetic Diversity of Three Isolated Populations in Xinjiang Using Y Chromosome SNPs," Acta Anthropologica Sinica Vol.37, No.1, February 2018; DOI: 10.16359/j.cnki.cn11-1963/q.2017.0067) found large percentages of J2a1-L26/Page55/PF5110/S57 Y-DNA in samples of Uyghurs from two peculiar localities: Qarchugha Township of Yuli County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (as of 1997, 98.6% of the population of this township was registered as ethnic Uyghur) and Deryaboyi Township of Yutian County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (in the late 2010s, Uyghurs made up 98.3% of the population of Yutian County; Deryaboyi is located along the Keriya River and near the center of the Taklamakan Desert).

    Uyghurs from Qarchugha Township (n=64):
    C3c1 3.13%
    H1 1.56%
    J2a1 (L26, PF5110, Page55, S57, L27, PF5111, S396) 43.75%
    J2a2 (L581, S398) 14.06%
    J1a2b 1.56%
    L1c (M357, L1307) 7.81%
    N1c1a1a 1.56%
    O2a1a 1.56%
    O3a2c (F130, F131, P164, CTS4723, F422, F299, F422, F427, CTS11109, CTS12099) 4.69%
    O3a2c1a 1.56%
    Q1a1a1 1.56%
    R1b1a1 1.56%
    R1a1a1b2 1.56%
    R1a1a1b2a2 3.13%
    R1a1a1b2a1a 1.56%
    R2 (M479, PF6107) 9.38%

    Uyghurs from Deryaboyi Township (n=39):
    C3c1 2.56%
    G2a2b2a1a2a 2.56%
    H 2.56%
    H1 2.56%
    J1a2b3 2.56%
    J2a1b1 (M260, Page14, M92) 25.64%
    O3a2c1a 2.56%
    R1b1a1 2.56%
    R1a1a1b2a (L342.2, S278.2, Z94) 20.51%
    R1a1a1b2a2 (Z2124) 15.38%
    R1a1a1b2a2a 2.56%
    R2a (P249, L266, PF6108, P267, PF6109, M124) 17.95%

About a quarter of the sampled Uyghurs from Deryaboyi belong to J2a1b1-M92, which is a subclade of J2a1b-M67 and J2a1-L26.

J2a1-L26 is the most frequently observed Y-DNA haplogroup in the sample of Uyghurs from Qarchugha, but these apparently do not belong to the J2a1b1-M92 subclade.

J2a2-L581 was not observed in the sample of Uyghurs from Deryaboyi, but it was observed in 14.06% (9/64) of the sample of Uyghurs from Qarchugha.

The MRCA of J2a1-L26 and J2a2-L581, a member of J2a-M410, is currently estimated by YFull to have lived 18,900 (95% CI 17,500 <-> 20,400) ybp.

It looks like members of J2a2-L581 are present among modern Turkic-speaking people in Xinjiang, which is located directly south of the Altai. However, members of J2a1-L26 may be more numerous than members of J2a2-L581 among modern Turkic-speaking people in Xinjiang.

So far do any of the ancient BMAC samples belong to J2a2-PF4993>PH1795 do you know?
