Were Iron Age Celts North Italian-like?

That's what the non-Germanic ancestry of ethnic Germans suggests. Also Peter Shvijer claims proto-Celtic originated in Northwestern Italy with the Canegrate culture.

There is no unique "celt" reference.

    I doubt that

what about south and central germany seems more celtic than NW Italy .......especially since the celtic capital was near modern Frankfurt ( germany )

Comparing them to modern north Italian is pointless IMHO.
Given how iron age Latins looked, how Balkan samples looked and how Iberian samples looked I believe central European Celts would have been 35-45% Steppe, 10-15% WHG and 40-50% farmer.

No, they weren't. They were very Northern European, as you shall soon see.

Peter Shvijer often talks out of his ass, so I wouldn't take his theory seriously.

I doubt it, I honestly thought they were just like the modern french (assuming you're talking about the continental ones)

Insular celts definitely were northern european, just another indo-european culture with less EEF mix like germanics.

How soon do you mean? Can you give us an ETA on when you'll have more info to present on the Celts?

It's not up to me. There are heaps of Celtic samples waiting to be published. I don't know why it's taking so long.
