I believe Stamatayanopoulos passed away more than a year ago. But he was part of a team of course.

Here are the kits from my family I have permission to share. All of the samples except Ikaria/Samos are close family members to each other. Feel free to use them in any of your work, as individual samples or averages. All I ask is please keep the labels the same (or similar) for accuracy's sake.

Most R1a seems to be of very recent Slavic origin because it is mostly under deep Balto-Slavic R1a-Z283 clades. Looking at the Underhill R1a study 10% of Greeks including Crete are R1a but of these only 10-20% are Z93. Half of the Z93 is basal with the rest being Z2125 and in one sample from Crete even L657 (Romani origin?).

On the Greek DNA Project on ftdna there is also just one confirmed Z93 sample compared to 9 confirmed Z283 samples. Maybe some of the Z283 is under rare and basal lines more typical today in the Near East and Central Asia than in East Europe (Indo-Iranian Z283), but this needs to be confirmed with deeper tests and it is unlikely that "Asian" Z283 makes a big part of Greek Y-DNA.

I suspect most of I2din coming from South Slavs as well right?

I don't think there was any I2-Din prior to Slavs in the region. I2-Din is closer to I2 clades in Britain and France than to ancient Pre-Slavic I2 clades of the Balkan.

The Greeks mostly belong to Y18331 with TMRCA 2100 ybp (100BCE), and they are clearly separated from other clades of CTS10228 which are dominantly Slavic.
It looks that this clade did not come to Greece with Slavs, but rather with some other Central European group.

Hmm interesting. So,in some way these I2 lineages in Greece might even be even from mesolithic or neolithic folks i guess.I said Slavs, because I2 lineages are very frenquent in the northern parts of Greece, where the Slavic autosomal DNA is even higher compared to the southern parts.
