U5b1d1, where is your most distant maternal ancestor from?

My trail ends at Agnes Barnard b. 1535 in Leicestershire England to a William Barnard and Alice Unknown.... I'm pretty sure Mr. William Barnard wasn't a native, perhaps he was French, Dutch or German? No birth records have been found for him yet... Ms. Alice unknown appears to be of Celtic ancestry?

My FTDNA Ancestral and Haplo origins all point to 1. Wales 2. Ireland 3. England/Scotland

    Hello Fellow U5b1d1,

Actually, I feel that I should say "Lady U5b1d1" rather than fellow.

I recall that I posted to you, fairly certain it was you, on another forum that I never managed to find again. And, seems that forum next I saw any information on it was that it had gone defunct.

My known, but not yet set in stone, oldest ancestor is Johnson from North Carolina. I also have an ancestry.com tree if you would want an invitation to same.

    Linda

With a surname such as Barnard, back there in ancient England, it looks like Norman lineage. My hypothetical U5b2b2 line goes back to there also. I notice that Lady Godiva, about 980 - 1067, is on a side twig of my supposed maternal line. A son of hers married a supposed maternal ancestress of mine.

My results just came in today and I am also U5b1d1.

Earliest ancestor was Ms/Mrs Abigail Miller b 1757 Washington County, New York, probably Irish.
