Were the baltic people in the iron age that distinct or more germanic-like? I believe the spot on the map relates to the prussian part of the german emipre right... I may have skipped those history lessons though .

Baltic is very distinct. This is famous Balto-Slavic drift typical for Balto-Slavic populations.
