Haplogroup R, those Cosmopolitan Romans and Northern European BY250

When I tested the Male Chromosome Y last year, there was a Northern European genetic influence or expression in the Y chromosome passed Father to Son name R-BY250. It has perplexed me on why this Roman-Northern European expression is there since my predominant genetic influence is Italian via Greece, Turkey, and Cacasuses.

Well.....the Celtic Peoples of the British Isle where very formidable warriors and blended in with Roman culture and peoples swapping technologies and cultures

"Cisalpine Gaul (Latin: Gallia Cisalpina, also called Gallia Citerior or Gallia Togata) was the part of Italy inhabited by Celts during the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. After its conquest by the Roman Republic in the 220s BC it was considered geographically part of Roman Italy but remained administratively separated.
    Where is cisalpine gaul?
Cisalpine Gaul. Map of Cisalpine Gaul, extending from Veneto on the Adriatic, to Pisa and Nice on the Mediterranean, to Lake Geneva in the west, and the Alps in the North, from Abraham Ortelius' Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, the first modern atlas of the world."

Sounds like R1b-U152 territory, although the Latins may have been so too.

    TigerMW,

Actually, I think this is the mysterious N. European source of R1b-BY250 under Z2103.
