I took their DNA Fingerprint Plus test. They use STR, not SNP. You don't get percentages, just population matches and what genetic markers you possess. They get a lot of criticism because of their methods but it was the most accurate test I've taken. They don't do the actual testing, your sample goes to an accredited lab for the test and the company members put your report together.

The authors of this book were flogging it and their testing company years and years ago on the old genealogy-dna Rootsweb list. When one or two of us ridiculed their theories and suggested people steer clear his lawyer publicly threatened to sue us. I haven't take their test. As for the book I've read enough snippets of it to know I'm not going to buy it either. It does have some very cranky theories about my glorious surname.

At a glance, it seems rather expensive! With perhaps, the exception of the plain Euro DNA version.

If I was in the market, I think I’d go somewhere else.

20210109_155109.jpg My results summary from them. The Eastern European and Romanian is anomalous to me, but nothing I haven't gotten in commercial tests or admixture calculators. Not perfect, but way better than any of the commercial tests for me.

That company goes heavy on NA and Melungeon.

#19, rubricated, is the lone NA hit that I get with that company, I've tested with them before; that hit is the only one highlighted in that manner. Dr. Yates was involved with the Melungeon study years ago, When Scotland was Jewish always gets a reaction when mentioned and I remember years ago reading on the DNA Consultants blog that Neanderthals were indigent to the New World continents. I think that's the only place I've seen that opinion.

That one NA match changed my Fingerprint Plus order from Fingerprint Plus to a Native American Fingerprint Plus order. It's all good.

I bought the Euro test for a hundred dollars. I wanted to treat myself with my Trump money. Your results have me looking forward to this.
