But very few of them exist in unadmixed form nowadays; 20k in Romania and none in Moldova.

This is how a Romanian Tatar from Dobruja region scores:

    N_Atlantic Baltic West_Med West_Asian East_Med Red_Sea South_Asian East_Asian Siberian Amerindian Oceanian NE_African Sub-Saharan
    16.35 19.88 6.00 16.98 8.62 2.55 2.89 9.57 15.19 0.92 0 0.97 0.08

This is very similar to Crimean Tatars (12 samples average).

Similar levels of non european admixture as Saami people. Around 25%. It will definitely change the phenotype.

Did Medieval Cumans/Tatars have similar levels aswell or were they less mixed?

I have seen a lot of Romanians/Moldovans with partly East Asian phenotypes, with 3% or 5% Eastern Eurasian genetic. Bulgarians have much less of it, considering we know from history, that Bulgarians are descended from Turkic tribes

    These are Cuman/Kipchak Gedmatch results

I think it's fair to assume that they were more East Eurasian, so less mixed. Original Siberian Tatars have few if any West Eurasian like ancestry after all.
Recent ancestry: 2/4 Central Moldova (Orhei district), 1/4 Southern Moldova (Cahul district), 1/4 Northern Moldova (Briceni district)

Maybe part of Slavs came around Balkans with a group of elite-Turkic confederation just as Hunnic organization. But i am not sure.

Romanian's EA ancestry apparently so normal for me due to further Turkic incursions be continued such as Pechenegs, Cumans.

what would you suggestion to calculate South Slav's native ancestors in terms of better fit, except BGR IA ?

I would add what your mentioned pops too but wanted to be North-Med centric this calculator. But you are free to add and share here ^^

If you mean for the Iron Age then Croatia_IA, ITA_Etruscan or ITA_Proto-Villanovan for the Western Balkans.

The Proto-Slavic high at me probably is due to the sample you included Hun_Avar_Szolad which was Slav but probably mixed with native Szolad population, and the other Szolad sample is the closest ancient sample to me. But, maybe also we intermarried with Slavs, who knows.

One of the reasons i think so is because in ancient components, i have high Yamnaya but i lack the other steppe components which Slavs have
