Did Neanderthals Hibernate? New Study Presents Evidence

Below is the original research paper as best I can tell. The popular publications are full of this theory. Evidently, Neanderthals shared bone abnormalities with bears and perhaps other hibernating animals. This evidence comes from the Cave of Bones in Spain and the period is said to be a glacial extreme. The evidence is really that of the precursors of Neanderthals. We now know they were much more Denisovan-like so it is possible that Denisovans hibernated also. Please read the abstract and give us your opinion.!
